AMIE stands for Associate Members of the Institution of Engineers. As it does every year, the Institution of Engineers India will conduct AMIE Exam 2013 for providing its associate membership. This examination is not considered any less than the B.E or the B. Tech examination which is considered to be one of the base level examinations for high level entrance exams like IAS or the civil services examination, GATE, IES examination, etc. This qualification is recognized by the ministry of HRD, Government of India and is considered equivalent to the B. Tech or B.E examination.

Eligibility criteria:
The candidate must have cleared the 10+2 examination with an aggregate score of 45%. He/she should also have an aggregate score of 45% in the science subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Syllabus:

Paper pattern for AMIE:
The AMIE EXAM 2013 comprises of two papers, each lasting 3 hours. At a time a candidate can appear for maximum of 4 papers in Section A, and 4 Papers for Section B. Section A is held twice a year, usually in May/June and November/December. The student can appear for Section B after clearing Section A.
