Eligibility criteria for TANCET exam 2012
A student should pass in any degree with a pattern of 10+2+3 with Statistics or Mathematics as one of the subjects at the degree level or with Mathematics at +2 level. He can also hold a Diploma in Mathematics or Statistics. Procedure of Application
•Candidates who are interested can submit applications in offline or online mode •The fee for application is Rs 500. It is Rs 250 for the candidates who belong to ST/SCA and SC categories that belong to Tamil Nadu. The application fee can be paid in cash or a DD can be drawn in favor of the Director, Entrance examinations. The application fee is payable at Chennai.
Syllabus and the exam pattern
The duration of the test will be 2 hours and the test is split into five sections. These sections include:
• Analytical Reasoning • Quantitative Ability • Knowledge of Written English • Computer Awareness • Logical Reasoning
There are twenty questions in each section. Each question is in objective form and has multiple choices. Each question has five answer choices.
Test Centers
This exam for admission to MBA or MCA is conducted in the test centers all over Tamil Nadu. However, owing to official reasons, the test centers may be changed by the Consortium. The Aspirants should check the information brochure for knowing exact details about the test centers.
